Spreading Cheer During the Holidays!


The Holiday's sure are full of blessings, some that we sometimes take for granted. We hope that everyone took a moment in their holiday chaos to remember the true meaning of Christmas and all there is to be grateful for, even just being together with your loved ones at home.
We spent our Christmas Eve afternoon visiting families who aren't quite that fortunate. We spread some cheer over at Advocate Hope Children's Hospital by stopping by and seeing the hospitalized children in the pediatric intensive care unit as well as the pediatric cardiac unit, both of which we have spent several holidays ourselves. Thanks to so many supporters, we were able to bring their lives some joy this holiday by giving back and handing out Christmas gifts to these special but very sick children, making their day a little brighter. So many were unable to speak their gratitude but we could see the excitement in their eyes, and for those who could speak their gratitude, hearing them wish us a "Merry Christmas" was just about the warmest a heart can get.
